The Causes and Consequences of Anger in the Organization and Presenting Management Solutions

Abstract

Workplace is one of the social interaction places where numerous causes for mind confusion exists. Understanding the causes and consequences and solutins of anger management in organization is important for increasing employee effectiveness and organizational productivity. The purpose of this study is investigating the causes and consequences of anger in the organization and presenting management solutions. The research method is qualitative. The interview method is used for data collection and data were analyzed throgh thematic analysis. The results of 10 interviews consist of three main causes of anger generation; two consequences of anger; four solution for  confronting and controlling anger and four moderating factor of gender, experience, kindes of customers and training. Based on these findings, organization and management decisions, behavior and expectations of customers and work nature would be the cause of anger experience at workplace. The consequences of anger include personal consequences (impact on family relationships and illness) and organizational consequences (reducing organizational efficiency and productivity).
